About the Author
John Richardson worked for more than fifteen years in the coffee bar and restaurant industry, at one time running the largest sandwich business in Ireland. A keen golfer, he lives with his wife and daughter in Bangor, Northern Ireland.

A Great Read for Golfers and Non-Golfers Alike

This is a fun and inspirational read whether you're a golfer or not -- the author's challenge to break par in a year was a bold one to say the least, and reading about how he went about it was a fun ride indeed! John shares his and his challenges on and off the course, balancing golf and family life, and that made this a book I could relate to. Reading John's challenge has me inspired to not only resume my own personal challenge of breaking 80, but why not try to break par myself? If you love golf, or even if you just want to read a fun, well written story, buy this book!

It took me all of 3 days to read this book - I couldn't put it down - I wish he would have taken 2 years to complete the challenge (much to his wifes chagrin)- the book would be double the pages

How to improve when you don't know what you are doing---if he had a pro guiding him, he could have done it in six months. He made all the mistakes we made over the years, he just did it in one year. If you love golf, you can identify with this quest.
